Marketing / Brand Strategy
We helped the world's leading cloud computing company develop a strategy for shifting from a product marketing company to a brand marketing company, creating a brand positioning and messaging hierarchy designed for each of their disparate audiences.
We helped one of the nation's largest banks develop a market expansion strategy, creating a playbook for deciding where to expand to and then how to successfully enter new geographies.
We partnered with the recent acquirers of a baked goods company to develop a complete marketing strategy for the organization, including corporate identity, mission and vision, brand architecture, and innovation strategy for new product development. We then developed new identity, packaging, and brand strategy for each of their individual brands.
We helped a healthcare start-up envision and execute every aspect of their go-to market strategy from naming, brand identity, positioning, key messaging, website development, and collateral creation.
Process / Ways of Working
We worked directly with the CMO of a publicly traded, Fortune 100 company to develop a business case for the CEO around how to reorganize the marketing department to provide a better end-to-end customer experience.
We were charged with helping a leading automaker identify ways in which the organization could work more effectively, especially in the context of partnering with their Integrated Agency Team. Recommendations crossed cultural, structural, process, talent, and toolkit considerations around strategy development and involved trainings for internal marketers and external partners.
The Global CMO has since re-engaged us to help get her marketing department collaborating and operating more effectively internally, and advising her on organizational structure.
A large agribusiness company brought us in to diagnose and solve for a series of operational challenges across enterprise marketing, in particular how corporate marketing and business unit marketing partnered with one another. We engaged in a holistic exploration of the organization’s ways of working and culture, and provided a roadmap of solutions and a process for implementing them, as well as helping the CMO re-structure her group.
We have since been re-engaged to help operationalize and implement several of the solution work streams we recommended.
A leading QSR company initially brought us in to develop their first cross-functional Communications Planning process and to develop a new process for collaborating throughout the product and communications development workflow. We developed new training materials and trained a broad swath of the organization on strategy development.
The client then came back to us to help develop and manage a new process for generating fresh, business building ideas from non-roster communications agencies.
Facilitation & Ideation
We worked with one of the nation’s largest and fastest growing mortgage companies to bring together stakeholders from headquarters and the field to develop a roadmap for reimagining the employee onboarding experience - a key pain point for this rapidly scaling organization.
A leading global hospitality company relies on REC to facilitate annual Advisory Board meetings with one of their largest strategic partners. We run two-day workshops as well as deliver content of our own on emerging trends in the business.
A leading entertainment technology company brought us in to facilitate a half-day workshop designed to align a cross-functional group of executives around the marketing and brand strategy.
Research & Insights
REC was commissioned by a leading restaurant company to lead research into possible directions for Super Bowl advertising introducing a new service offering. We managed all aspects of the research from developing objectives to reporting findings and advising on key implications.
We worked with the marketing and insights teams at a global spirits company to figure out how to adapt a global brand platform for activation in the United States. We led client team workshops, designed and performed qualitative research with consumers, developed concepts, and wrote briefs for execution by agencies operating above and below the line.
Speaking & Speech Writing
Collaborated with the President of a publicly traded, Fortune 50 company to develop her speeches and keynote presentations to top executives, the Board of Directors, and the entire company for 'all-hands' meetings.
Developed the corporate narrative for a global information services provider, helping articulate their value proposition and point of difference, and then driving that down into customized selling stories and pitch decks for each of their key lines of business.

Innovation
We helped a global spirits company develop a series of options for expanding an existing brand into the rapidly growing ready-to-drink segment, identifying emerging trends among the category, consumers, and culture to uncover ripe strategic territories for new product development.
We embedded with a select team of executives from a leading CPG manufacturer to pilot a new way of innovating around product and communications development. We helped this cross-functional team develop a new go-to-market plan built around an agile methodology.
